Curtis Taylor, PE
Project Engineer, Electrical (San Jose, CA)
Curtis Taylor is a Project Engineer with more than 10 years of experience in the electrical engineering realm. Skilled in electrical power distribution design, Curtis specializes in both low- and medium-voltage systems. His expertise extends to lighting design, solar photovoltaic (PV) design, and low-voltage system/equipment design. Curtis is also proficient in AutoCAD, REVIT, and Bluebeam programs. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and his Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Physics from Oregon State University. He is also a licensed electrical engineer in the State of California.
Fun Fact: When I was a child I aspired to be a Paleontologist.
Emmanuel Affadzi
Project Consultant, Electrical (Atlanta, GA)
Emmanuel Affadzi is a Project Consultant with more than five years of experience designing power systems, lighting and controls, and fire alarm systems in a variety of building types, as well as expertise in photometric calculations and ensuring compliance with building and electrical codes, including NFPA, IFC, IBC, Ashrae, and IECC. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Kennesaw State University and is also proficient in AutoCAD, Design Master, Revit, and Bluebeam software.
Fun Fact: A law a justice course I took back in high school was my first introduction to forensics.
James Little, MBA, CFEI
Consultant, Fire & Explosion (Atlanta, GA)
James Little is a Fire and Explosion Consultant with nearly 30 years of experience in fire investigation and a strong background in law enforcement and military training. He began his career in the US Navy and went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Columbia College and a Master of Business Administration from Webster University. Certified as a Fire and Explosion Investigator by the National Association of Fire Investigators, as well as a member of the International Association of Arson Investigators, James has conducted nearly 1,500 fire and explosion investigations throughout his career, showcasing his expertise in determining origin and cause.
Fun Fact: I have lived in Italy twice for a total of five years.
Jeffrey Orye, IAAI-CFI, CFEI
Senior Consultant, Fire & Explosion (Baltimore, MD)
Jeffrey Orye has nearly 40 years of combined experience in public service Fire and Law Enforcement for the Anne Arundel County (MD) Fire Department, serving as a firefighter, firefighter/engineer, fire inspector, and fire & explosives investigator. Throughout his career as a public fire investigator, Jeffrey investigated over 950 fire scenes and approximately 82 incidents involving explosions and/or explosives. Fire investigations conducted include but are not limited to incidents involving residential, commercial, and government properties, vehicles, marine/boats, fire injuries and deaths including arson homicide and self-immolation, and serial arson. He has also provided testimony in state criminal courts as a recognized expert witness in fire origin and cause determination.
Fun Fact: The most rewarding aspect of my job is being able to examine a fire scene, something most people view as nothing but destruction and debris, and utilizing my training and experience, be able to determine where and how the fire started. Helping victims find answers and hopefully bringing some semblance of order to their world during what is usually a chaotic time for them.
Michael Windsor, BEng (Hons)., MSc., CEng, MIMechE
Senior Project Engineer, Mechanical (Melbourne, Australia)
Michael Windsor is a Senior Project Engineer with nearly 30 years of experience in mechanical and biomedical engineering. He is a Chartered Mechanical Engineer, recognized by the UK Institution of Mechanical Engineers (MIMechE), and possesses his Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) in Bio-Medical Materials Engineering, as well as a Master of Science in Finite Modelling. Michael’s competencies span a wide spectrum, from compliance design and analysis to construction management and product development life cycle management. He specializes in mechanical failure investigations, product technical assessments, and the implementation of quality management systems.
Fun Fact: I have always had a passion for motorbike racing and so aspired to be a professional racer on Grand Prix circuits. I attained the level of Clubman, racing major UK circuits in the SuperSport class. Outside of racing, I have always marveled at the amazing engineering of the human body. I undertook studies in medical engineering to improve my understanding which has led me on an amazing journey of engineering exploration into Forensics engineering.
